This documentary display with portraits by Charlottesville professional photographer Tom Cogill and text panels by Emma Edmunds tells the storyline regarding the civil-rights protests, assault, and protracted appropriate challenge that gripped Danville, Va., in the summertime of 1963, the autumn campaign of Martin Luther King, Jr., and the part for the Southern Christian Leadership meeting in that city.
The exhibit is presented together with the Educators when you look at the Movement task on Curry School of knowledge within University of Virginia along with assistance from Virginia Foundation the Humanities and the Elizabeth Stuart James Grant Trust.
